We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and punctual Gift Shop Attendants, Ticket Sellers, and Gorge Guides for our upcoming season. Our small close-knit team offers a fun, fast paced, customer service-oriented work environment.
2024 Season Positions
Guide & Grounds Attendant
Duties of a Guide look a little different these days since we haven’t yet resumed offering guided group tours. Guides are still expected to welcome groups to the facility, provide information needed before beginning a self-guided walk, and answer any questions related to a visit. When a Guide is not helping a group, he or she will be expected to rove through the Gorge to answer visitor’s questions in addition to performing grounds and maintenance projects related to the Gorge and main grounds. Other duties may include assisting with ticket and gift shop sales as well as ensuring the cleanliness of the main building and outdoor areas.
Admissions & Gift Shop Attendant
This person should be comfortable operating a Point of Sale computer in a fun and busy atmosphere, or willing to learn. Qualified candidates should have exceptional customer service skills as they are often the first point of contact upon guest arrival. This person should have an interest in learning about the history, geology, and ecology of Kinsman Notch. This position also aides the management staff in day-to-day operations of Lost River Gorge’s gift shop and ticket admissions including answering questions and phone calls, accepting and processing payment, restocking merchandise, basic cleaning and organizing, and other tasks as assigned by management.
